or film music. There is no such thing called music for children. The music of
Karadi Katha / Karadi Tales is a first of its kind creation which opens up the possibility of a unique Indian music for children that is also immensely popular. Music for children can hardly be childish. Children have sophisticated tastes and the music and production values of this album fully respect that. The songs of the album are woven together into a beautiful garland with brief narratives between songs which recreate the situation of the song for the child. This creates the visual setting in the child?s mind for the musical experience. The Hindi lyrics have been written by Gulzar, who creates a magic with his words that instantly bonds with children. The English lyrics (the English version of the album is called Jungle Bells) have been written by Shobha Viswanath, the acclaimed author of Karadi Tales. The music of Bandar Bindaas Bandar has been given by the latest sensation on the Indian music scene, 3 Brothers & A Violin. They bring their unique blend of the traditional with the contemporary, the popular with the classical to create a musical experience that communicates wonderfully with children.
