The Clever Tailor by Srividhya Venkat, illustrated by Nayantara Surendranath has been on quite a roll, lately, with glowing reviews from the Children’s Picture Book Review and Goodbooks.in, and winning the Peek-A-Book Children’s Choice Award 2018. Recently, it nabbed yet another award, the Society of Children’s Books Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) Crystal Kite Award for the Middle East, Asia, and India regions. This award is given to books that represent excellence in the field of children’s literature. The books are peer-selected and voted on by SCBWI members. The aim is to recognize great books from the 15 SCBWI regional divisions around the world and to support the creation and availability of quality children’s books.
