Farmer Falgu Goes on a Trip

"This book is really suitable to be read out aloud to young kindergarten kids. They will love the wonderful sounds which the author has penned, depicting each character to whom Farmer Falgu gives a lift."

Princess Easy Pleasy

“…Each page is a delight. The detailing is wonderful and you’d want to read it again and again to discover more – a cow that has the seat belt strapped on and is drooling from the corner of her mouth in sleep, a royal packer who is getting increasingly annoyed with each turn of the page, and a dog that happily marks the airplane’s tyre – the fun is endless.”

Thea’s Tree

“…I wouldn’t call this a simple book, given the layered themes its story suggests. There is its strong environmental message, of course, and there is a shout-out to the importance of following your heart and dreams.  The book is also an ode to the simple pleasures of childhood that are increasingly threatened by consumerism."

Fish Friends Three

"I love your tale and I am all of 43 years old! The music is exactly how one wants it to be. I would say Karadi Tales Junior is better than Tom and Jerry, which is kind of linear in format in comparison. What uplifts the latter as well as the former is music. I can't get out of singing one fish, two fish and my family thinks I have gone nuts!"

The Foolish Crow

"Truly awesome work. My two-year-old daughter loves to sing the opening song and has already named her stuffed toy “bhuro”. I am not ashamed to say that besides her, my husband and I, and my parents – all love these tales and have got multiple copies of almost the entire collection. Hats off to the musicians, composers, and of course, Saeed Jaffry for his phenomenally talented work. We are scourging the bookstore regularly for more!"

The Blue Jackal

" All Karadi Tales stories are very good listening matter for young children. They should therefore be made a part of “Reading and Listening” in the schools so that the whole concept of learning is made interesting to children. "

Karadi Tales Rhymes Pack

" Good and Fair points are made. Hence, we need to force our schools to teach and explain more of the local language to our kids. I do agree that this is easy to say than done. Probably more parents need to push schools and educational authorities to focus on second language too, in schools. "

Birth of Krishna & Krishna’s Conquests

"The book is an excellent substitute for a mother rendering bedtime stories. My children aged 13 and 11 enjoy my absence in bed during the bed talk time."

The Night Monster

"This is a simple story of the night – one that might happen in every household and therefore is very relatable to young kids. As they say – ” The Darker the Night, The Brighter the Stars”. The story is the real star here, one that can help make your child’s nighttime so much easier and a lot less scarier.
Highly recommended read for kids aged 4-9. It is also a great read-aloud book to younger kids."

My association with Karadi tales dates back to the year 2000 when I suggested a Karadi Tales audiobook to my client as a gift for his grandson. Forwarding to 2015, I started reading to my daughter Vania when she was just a few months old and she used to respond to the audio of songs / rhymes/ stories! The 'Monkey' song became Vania's favourite. After we bought the rhymes set, 'My name is Madhavi' became her feeding time song that was tweaked to include all the people she knew! Vania soon got addicted to 'Kutti and the mouse' : it became the theme of her 3rd birthday! She recited the whole story one day without missing a word or tune from it!  The video got her to win the 2nd place in a storytelling competition. Attending Karadi Tales story sessions regularly has not only helped improve her English vocabulary but has helped her familiarize with the different states, languages, festivals, Indian flag, fruits, preparing sambar, sarees… the list is endless. Our small collection of KT books and CDs are always a part of our travel list. I always recommend Karadi Tales to all my friends who like to introduce books to their kids.
